In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Hosts who genuinely look after guests — The reviews are consistent on this: friendly, personable staff who help with Metro directions, arrange airport taxis, lend adaptors and open up the kitchen for coffee and snacks.
  • A location that makes Vatican visits easy — Quodlibet is around 800 metres from the Vatican Museums and a 25-minute walk from Castel Sant'Angelo, and guests note the Metro, restaurants and public transport nearby.
  • Rooms and facilities backed by strong scores — Guest scores of 9.6 for rooms, 9.5 for comfort and a 10 for facilities are backed by soundproofing, air conditioning, minibars, tea and coffee facilities and flat-screen TVs.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Check-in window ends at 22:00 — Arrival is only possible between 12:00 and 22:00, so late flights need some thought.
  • A price point worth weighing — Rates start at £234, so this is not a budget B&B. Guest value score is strong at 9.3, but it remains the kind of stay you book for the location and care rather than for a bargain.
  • No pets allowed — The property's policy is no pets, so you'll need to make other arrangements for a dog or cat.

“Comfortable rooms, an excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, a reasonable price and a huge breakfast — everything, really.”

9.1Verified guest

“Friendly staff, the option to park nearby, and a lovely, hard-to-beat location about a mile from an Italian Renaissance church.”

“Augustino was a great host. I only stayed two nights, but on the day I arrived he showed me how to reach Termini from the nearest station because I had an early tour the next morning. He also arranged my taxi from Fiumicino airport. Breakfast was excellent — there was so much food. The room was very spacious, comfortable and well decorated, and the bathroom was a good size too. As I didn't realise Rome's sockets were different from the UK's, he found me an adaptor. He also gave me free access to the kitchen for coffee, juice and light snacks. I'd highly recommend this B&B.”
